United States Military Endowment

If you or a veteran family member is facing an emotional crisis call 1-800-273-TALK (8255) for immediate access to a trained counselor.
The US Military Endowment was founded in 2008 by Iraq War veterans and their families. We are a New Jersey based 501 (c)(3) public charity whose nonpartisan mission is to provide resources to our brave men and women, so that they may successfully transition from military to civilian life. Since our inception we have focused on building vital everyday skills for our veterans, and raising awareness about the challenges they face upon their return from combat.
Our organization works closely with the Department of Veteran Affairs Vet Center in Bloomfield, NJ. This center ia a place where returning veterans and their families can go and learn how to adjust into civilian life after their combat experiences. Specifically, through professional counseling, the participants can be given the tools to:
- Overcome the effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Tackle the unique complexities of civilian life
- Communicate effectively with others
- Reduce and properly managing stress
- Apply unique skills acquired in the military at work
- Manage family relationships more easily
- Excel as a valued member of society
There are 232 community based Vet Centers in all fifty states, District of Colombia, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. To locate the one nearest you visit http://www.vetcenter.va.gov.
Assistance is available to the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Coast Guard. With your generous support we can continue to provide for the men and women who have sacrificed so much for this great country.
